OK, so i received notice that i was awarded an #MBE in the Queens birthday honours list. Bit of a shock as i thought it was actually a joke as it came by email ( some of the lads are known to play jokes on me)
i was a bit on the back foot to be honest as i am believe it or not shy and like not to take praise, but someone pointed out its for recognition not praise so yeah, ok i will go and let them pin it to my chest!.
most important i think is that if i can do this, a lad who left school unable to read or write then anyone can. Set your goals after cancer
